Description

Description

Immerse yourself in the culture and beauty of historical Seville enjoying its lively tapas bars and wandering the maze of narrow cobbled streets lined with scented orange blossom. Stay at the chic townhouse, Corral del Rey, which lies in the heart of the historic quarter of the Barrio Alfalfa. This original Casa Palacio has been lovingly restored and retains many of the original Moorish features. It is an ideal place from which to visit the cathedral, climb the Giralda and explore the Alcazar.

Seville is a fascinating city; as the cultural centre of Andalucia it is the place to experience the best in Spanish traditions: music, dance, and fine food and wines.

Then head out to the tranquillity of the countryside, horse-ride across the Andalucian plains and sip a glass of Rioja in brightly coloured bougainvillea clad courtyards. Stay at the rustic Hacienda de San Rafael, a charming retreat that lies 45 minutes south of Seville. In one of the beautiful private Casitas, you can relax in a hammock on your private veranda, or collapse by the pool in the peace and quiet. If you would like to experience more of this fascinating part of Southern Spain, why not head to Granada to visit the Alhambra, the magnificent residence of the Moorish rulers of medieval Andalucia, set in the stunning Generalife gardens. Or why not visit Cordoba, where you could visit the Mezquita, the grand mosque later turned into a cathedral, surrounded by charming whitewashed alleys and patios. If you would like to extend your stay to include a few nights in a boutique hotel in one of these fascinating cities we will be happy to tailor the trip to help you get the most out of an Andalucian adventure.

When to travel
Andalucia has a Mediterranean climate, making it a year round destination. In general you can usually rely on pleasant or hot temperatures from April to early November. In Andalucia there are plenty of warm, sunny days right through winter.
The best time to visit is in the Spring and Autumn when the temperature is just perfect with warm sunny days. During July and August it can be very hot and some days the temperature reaches 40°C, Andalucia is extremely crowded during these months.
