Description

Description

We will provide you with our handpicked elite driver/guide who will bring England to life – showcasing the hidden gems that England has to offer – those remote picturesque chocolate-box villages and stopping at idyllic country pubs. This is England behind-the-scenes; presented exclusively for you. We tailor each and every itinerary, so this is very much a starting point from which we can create the itinerary exactly to your interests.

Begin in London where we will design a couple of days exploring entirely around your interests, whether you want to delve into pomp and pageantry and royal monuments, to the modern Arts or London’s hidden interior. We will help with booking the best restaurants to West End shows. Naturally we have based you in a stay at one of the best hotels London has to offer, The Goring, but can of course select from a wide range of establishments depending on the style of hotel you like and where you want to be based.

Your private driver/guide will then pick you up and you will begin your adventure into the English countryside. Head west, and stop initially at Highclere Castle, known more popularly as Downton Abbey before continuing to Stonehenge, Britain’s most famous prehistoric monument. Continue to Bath and explore – famous for its jaw-dropping Georgian architecture and small boutiques. Stop for two nights here, and discover the Roman origins of this superb town.
Continue north and stay at a luxury inn in the Cotswolds, your home for the next three nights and a hidden gem located at the heart of rural England. You are then within easy reach to visit Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare and a quintessential English town. But more importantly the Cotswolds is the best place to explore small English villages. Spend your second day walking through the countryside, or try your hand at falconry. On your final day, you will visit the beautiful city of Oxford before driving back to London.

When to travel
It is very difficult to predict the weather in the United Kingdom – in the summer from May to late September is generally seen as the most pleasant time to visit. Rainfall is difficult to predict – but the UK does not receive as much as many are led to believe! In the winters, temperatures do fall, but there is nothing better than finding a remote pub with a roaring fire to sit beside after a long walk in the country.
