Switzerland – Austria: 16 Days

Day 1: Zurich – Lucerne
Arrive Zurich and transfer to your hotel in Engelberg. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2: Engelberg (Mt.Titlis) – Lucerne Cruise – Engelberg
After breakfast at your hotel, we take you on one of the most memorable experiences of visiting Mt. Titlis. Adventure awaits you in a sensational cable-car ride up to Mt. Titlis. Marvel at the world’s first revolving cable-car ride, a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Remain spellbound as you ascend the snow-clad mountains. Experience the snow and ice on top of Mt. Titlis, also a chance to ride, ‘Ice Flyer’. At 3,020 meters a breathtaking panorama unfolds. Later evening enjoy cruise on Lake Lucerne.

Day 3: Engelberg – Lugano – Engelberg
After breakfast depart for Lugano to visit Swiss Miniature Park & Scenic Lake Lugano. On the way to Lugano we are passing through an 18 Km long tunnel of St.Gothard which is known as Gothard Pass. Arrive Lugano & Visit Swiss Miniature. If you want to have an overview of Switzerland and spend a nice time in a wonderful region, don’t miss Swissminiature, an exciting place and a must see attraction for everyone visiting this beautiful country. Later visit the beautiful Lake of Lugano. Depart Back to hotel.

Day 4: Engelberg – Grindelwald (Mt.Jungfraujoch) – Engelberg
This morning, after breakfast, proceed for an adventurous ride to visit Jungfraujoch – the Top of Europe, for a memorable encounter with snow and ice. You will be amazed at the scenic splendour that you see from aboard the ‘cog-wheel’ train, which takes you to a height of 3,454 meters to reach Jungfraujoch. Visit the Ice Palace on top of the longest glacier in the Alps. A visit to the Sphinx is also included.

Day 5: Engelberg – Schilthorn – Interlaken – Engelberg
After breakfast, depart to visit Schilthorn. Later, we visit Interlaken, a charming city nestled between two lakes and surrounded by the splendid Bernese Oberland Mountains. Treasure these wonderful moments and later evening drive back to your hotel.

Day 6: Engelberg – Rhine Falls – Zurich – Engelberg
After breakfast, depart to visit the magnificent Rhine Falls. Later afternoon Visit Zurich City. Enjoy your time on Bahnhofstrasse. The main shopping zone is concentrated in the city center, which makes it ideal for pedestrians. The famous Bahnhofstrasse – one of the most beautiful shopping areas in Europe – is a must. Elegant fashion stores, department stores, boutiques with top quality products (shoes, furs, accessories, porcelain, jewellery and watches), banks and pastry shops.

Day 7: Engelberg – Gstaad – Engelberg
Post breakfast, depart for full day excursion “Glacier 3000”. Welcome to “Glacier 3000” the year around destination for snow sport fans & one day Excursions. In addition to snow sports you will experience the glacier in many different ways. Enjoy the beautiful country side on the sled pulled by a team of huskies & take a tour with the snow bus. Also enjoy the fast ride on the Alpine coaster which will increase your adrenaline level in no time.

Day 8: Engelberg – Geneva – Montreux – Engelberg
After breakfast at your hotel, proceed further for tour of Geneva. It’s Includes Jet De Eau famous water fountain on the lake, Head Quarters like WHO, ILO, Red Cross, UNICEF & Broken chair. Later visit Montreux, the beautiful city on the lake lemon. Later transfer to the hotel.

Day 9: Engelberg – Innsbruck
After breakfast, Check out and depart to visit Innsbruck. Arrive Innsbruck and enjoy the beauties of the charming city. Visit Berg Isel ski jump, Wilten Basilica, Maria-Theresien-Street and the Old Town, with its famous Golden Roof.

Day 10: Innsbruck – Wattens – Innsbruck
After breakfast, drive through the Inn Valley to Wattens to visit the world famous Swarovski Crystal Worlds, where you can admire crystal works of art by many famous artists (e.g. Salvador Dali). Experience a view of the surreal landscape of a glittering galaxy, the inside of a crystal dome with changing patterns of light and sound.

Day 11: Innsbruck – Salzburg
After breakfast, Check out and depart to visit Salzburg, where spires and domes rise in the shadow of Hohensalzburg Castle, one of the largest medieval fortresses in Europe. Admire the city featured in ‘The Sound of Music’ during your tour. View Mozart’s birthplace and family house in the picturesque Getreidegasse, and the Domplatz dominated by Salzburg Cathedral.

Day 12: Salzburg
After breakfast depart for the Journey through the Bavarian Alps, via the Alpenstrasse, along the King’s Lake River to the Obersalzberg – famous for Hitler’s retreat, the Eagle’s Nest. Here, the highlight of your tour awaits as you tour the 450-year-old salt mines. Wearing traditional miners’ clothes, you enter the mines and hear historic as well as legendary tales of the fascinating underground world.

Day 13: Salzburg – Vienna
After breakfast, check out and depart to Vienna. Arrive Vienna and rest of the Day is free at Leisure.

Day 14: Vienna
After breakfast enjoy Vienna city sightseeings. We drive through the City Park, the Austrian  Mint, and the Hundertwasserhaus on the way to the Prater Amusement Park with the Giant Ferris Wheel. We then show you to the Danube Island and the Copa Cagrana, the Danube Park, the Danube Tower and the United Nations headquarters.

Day 15: Vienna
After breakfast, Enjoy the tour of Schonbrunn Palace. You can experience the luxurious splendor of the Great Gallery, the Oriental charm of the Chinese Cabinets as well as the astonishingly modest style of decoration in Emperor Franz Joseph’s private suite. The Yellow Salon contains a precious secrataire – the only object at Schöbnrunn that once belonged to Queen Marie Antoinette of France, who was guillotined in 1793. Later, the magnificent Hall of Ceremonies, the imposing Gobelin Salon with its exquisite Brussels tapestries as well eas the room known on Maria Theresia’s time as the Feketin Room, later renamed the Millions Room on account of its precious panelling of rare rosewood.

Day 16: Vienna – India
After Breakfast, check out and depart to Vienna airport to board your flight for onwards destination.

Tour Cost Excludes

  1. 3 Euro tip per person per day.
  2. Cost of Basic Travel Quota (BTQ) equivalent to USD 10,000.
  3. No Porterage included.
  4. Any increase in the rate of exchange leading to an increase in surface transportation and land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure. The tour price is subject to increase without notice if this rate changes substantially prior to the departure of your tour.
  5. Any expenses of personal nature such as laundry, wines, mineral water, food and drink not in the regular menu provided by us pay TV, mini-bar, telephone calls, etc.
  6. All Meals.
  7. Cost of excursions, city sightseeing, entrance fees and local guides other than that mentioned in “Tour Cost Includes”.
  8. Airfare & airport tax.
  9. Visa Fees.
  10. Travel insurance.

Note

  • Passengers joining this tour must travel to / from the hub city at their own expense.
  • Due to major international events and trade fairs throughout Europe such as air-show, world athletic meet, ice skating championships, motor show, Tour de France, etc. the hotels may be blocked out more than 2 years in advance. In view of this you may have to stay in hotels further away from the cities/ different city and the itinerary may have to be altered /amended.
  • We also reserve the right to substitute a hotel of similar class if it is deemed advisable or necessary.
  • For the convenience of our passengers we will sometimes amend/alter the itinerary. However all the services will remain the same.

Terms & Conditions

To secure your booking, We need 20% non refundable deposit a.s.a.p. (usually 3-12 months ahead); balance is payable 60 days before the start of the tour.

Vouchers are not transferable and valid only for the services mentioned therein.  Any services not specifically requested, confirmed and noted on vouchers will not be rendered.  All extras to be paid directly to the hotels/the service providers.

Passenger Comments/Complaints
It is imperative that any complaints be made known to the respective handling agents or its representatives without any delay so that appropriate action can be taken.

Cancellation/Refunds
Cancellation charges will be levied for bookings cancelled after issuance of the vouchers.  Requests for refund should be made in writing within 14 days after the scheduled completion of the services.  Refund requests for curtailed stays cannot be processed unless provided with documentary evidence from hotel/the service provider. All refund requests are subject to obtaining a refund approval from the hotel/the service provider and no refund can be given without this approval. The Hotel/the service provider reserves the right to process and whether or not to approve the refund request and if necessary charge an administrative fee.  For packages, no refunds can be processed for partially utilized services and no-Shows. In the event of no show the supplier reserves the right to release the complete booking and levy 100% cancellation charges.

Responsibility
It is understood that, we act as agent only for all services covered hereby.  Further we shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage resulting from acts of God, dangers, fire, breakdown of machinery, equipment or vehicles, acts of government authority, wars, civil disturbances, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines or any delays or changes including any extra expenses which the passenger may incur as a result of any of the foregoing causes.
