Tour Description

This bike tour is intended to show international cyclists Russia from the saddle of a bicycle. Always accompanied by Russian cyclists, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on enjoying your ride through the quiet Russian countryside.

This tour is very informal. You’ll be treated not only as clients, but as guests of the Russian Cycle Touring Club. In addition to cycling, there is a special plan to help you learn about Russian culture, which includes visits to numerous museums and exhibitions. Enjoy meeting the locals and savoring local specialities cooked for you from local products.

The Golden Ring of Russia, the region northeast of Moscow, is the most famous route through the heart of Russia. It goes through the old Russian towns of Vladimir, Suzdal, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Uglich and others known for their ancient history and architecture. You will see the beautiful Russian countryside and the Volga River, magnificent Orthodox churches and monasteries.

Daily Program: Guided

Comfort Tour

Day 1: Moscow
Upon your arrival at the airport in Moscow, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to the hotel. There is a walking tour of Moscow and dinner later that evening.

Day 2: Moscow – Rostov (12 mi/20 km)
The day begins with a transfer to Rostov, where you will have a city tour, followed by a bike ride to Borisoglebsky and a visit to Borisoglebsky Monastery. Other highlights of the day include the Kremlin.

Day 3: Rostov – Uglich (46 mi/74 km)
Highlights of the day include a city tour in Uglich, the Volga River, and the Museum of Russian Vodka.

Day 4: Uglich – Myshkin (25 mi/40 km)
Visit the hydropower museum and enjoy a city tour in Myshkin, where you’ll see the Valenki, or “wool boot”, museum. Other highlights include beautiful windmills, picturesque and scenery.

You’ll enjoy a city tour in Rybinsk, including the town’s art museum.

Ther day begins with a bus transfer, there is cycling in Suzdal, and mead tasting. The day ends with a farewell dinner.

There is a city tour in Suzdal featuring a monastery. There is also an optional excursion to visit the Church of Intercession on the Nerl in Bogolubovo before you transfer to Moscow.

After breakfast the tour is over and you’ll transfer to airport.
