Day 1 | Welcome to Amsterdam – Pick up your rental car

Fall in love with this relaxed and friendly city, where everyone speaks English and are most pleasing and helpful. Amsterdam is best explored by foot or bicycle, which can be easily and cheaply rented throughout the city. From its canals to world-famous museums and historical sights, it is one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in Europe. Shop at the Waterlloplein flea market and experience the aromas of the floating flower market. Wander through narrow streets and find interesting shops selling antiques and books. Throughout the day relax in one of the many cafes, and you can find great dining at the many restaurants scattered throughout the city. Service is very friendly and helpful in suggesting local specialties. Try the Indonesian rice dishes, very typical of Amsterdam, or the country’s many cheeses or smoked fish.

Day 2 | Amsterdam sightseeing & at leisure

Today take a canal cruise in a glass topped boat, which is a great way to see the city and some of the tours are hop-on-hop-off so you can use the tour to get around town. Alongside the canal visit the Anne Frank House where teenage wartime diarist Ann Frank hid with her family from Nazi persecution, and is now preserved as a museum. The Rijksmuseum is the Dutch national museum with a large collection of paintings of Rembrandt and other Dutch masters. The Van Gogh Museum has much of the great man’s life on display and is the largest collection of his paintings and drawings in the world.

Day 3 | Amsterdam – De Haar Castle – Liege – Bastogne – Luxembourg

Drive to the little village of Haarzuilens, to the west of Utrecht. Here pay a visit to the fairy-tale De Haar Castle surrounded by a large park. Its interior is luxuriously decorated with a large collection of valuable antiques from all over the world. Your journey now takes you to Liege in Belgium. Walk through the old city center and discover the traffic-free alleys and shopping streets. Continue your journey as you drive to Bastogne, Belgium, where the Porte de Treves, part of the defensive walls erected in the 14th century, can still be seen. Drive through the stunning Petrusse Valley and to the city of Luxembourg for your two-night stay, where you will find an abundance of fine restaurants.

Day 4 | Luxembourg

Luxembourg has a unique charm with its ancient battlements, cobbled streets, historical buildings and museums blending with contemporary boutiques and outdoor cafés. With parks and gardens spilling out from the Old Town it makes an ideal walking city. At the center of Luxembourg’s Old Town is a tree-lined pedestrian square, the Place d’Armes. The Grand-Ducal Palace, originally built as the Town Hall in the 16th century, was adopted by the Luxembourg royal family in the 19th century.

From Luxembourg cross the border back into Belgium and drive through the wonderful scenery of the Ardennes with its winding roads, tranquil lakes and sparkling streams. Nestled in its valleys are fine old country inns and pretty little towns where you can sample some of the area’s gastronomic delights. Arrive at the scenic city of Namur located on the banks of the rivers Mense and Sambra. Drive to Waterloo, which is one of the world’s most famous battlefields and the scene of Napolean’s defeat by the Duke of Wellington. Leave Waterloo for the vibrant atmosphere of Brussels, where we have arranged for your overnight stay. Brussels is a city of medieval narrow streets, lively squares, beautiful boulevards, impressive monuments, spacious parks, cozy cafés and interesting restaurants. Day 6 | Brussels – Ghent – Bruges – Antwerp

From Brussels drive to the ancient city of Ghent, with its quaint cobbled streets, winding canals, and over 900 listed buildings. The city center is a showcase of medieval Flemish wealth and commercial success. It is also the flower city of Belgium as flower growers from the region around Ghent sell their beautiful begonias and azaleas all over the world. Your drive continues to the cobbled streets of Bruges. This splendid medieval city is one of Belgium’s crown jewels, unique in its feel and look. Leave Belgium for one of Holland’s prettiest cities, Delft. Best known for its blue and white porcelain it is also one of Holland’s historical centers and home to the Dutch royal family. Its relaxing atmosphere can be due to the city’s center (with its pretty winding canals) which can be crossed in a mere 10 minutes. From Delft your journey takes you to The Hague, home of all foreign embassies and government ministries. Among some of the city’s museums and cultural institutions is the Madurodam – a miniature city containing hundreds of scale-models of Dutch landmarks in a typical Dutch miniature landscape. Terms & Conditions

Contract
The Terms and Conditions will form the contract between European Voyages and the person making/paying for the booking. No contract exists until European Voyages has received payment and issued its confirmation invoice. Rates are subject to currency fluctuation and Government taxes and may be changed without notice. Rates are guaranteed upon acceptance of full payment.

Payment
Payment with a credit card is required to make a reservation. If a booking is made 60 or more days before departure, a non-refundable deposit is payable by Visa or MasterCard. The remaining balance will be collected approximately eight weeks prior to departure. For reservations made less than 60 days before departure, full payment will be due when hotels are confirmed.

Once the booking is confirmed, changes incur the following amendment fees: 60 + days — €50 per person, 59 days to day of departure — changes are treated as a cancellation and rebooking and cancellation charges as above apply. It is not possible to make refunds after departure date for any services not used including but not limited to hotels, and car rental.

It is your responsibility to thoroughly check your documents upon receipt and to inform European Voyages immediately if there is an error so that it can be corrected prior to departure. If European Voyages is not advised accordingly no liability on its part will be accepted. Also, it is your responsibility to ensure that you take all of the travel documents sent to you, including but not limited to Hotel, and Car Vouchers, explorer kit, etc. If you do not have your documents you will be expected to pay for service and will not be reimbursed by European Voyages.

Changes by the Company
On occasion it may be necessary to amend certain arrangements of your holiday, which we reserve the right to do at any time. If a major change occurs we will inform you as soon as possible. Major change is one that involves a change in location or offering a lower category hotel. In these instances we will offer an alternative subject to your acceptance and if the hotel originally booked is of a superior category and is substituted with a standard category, we will issue a refund to you Upon acceptance of the change no further claims for compensation or additional expenses will be accepted. In no case we will pay compensation or accept liability if change is due to force majeure; risk/threat of war; industrial disputes; riot; civil strife; terrorist activity; natural/nuclear disasters; fire or adverse weather conditions; technical problems to transport; closure or congestion of airports or ports; cancellations or changes of scheduled airlines and similar events beyond our control.

Driving Licenses
Renters must present a valid driving license, an International Driving Permit is strongly recommended. This is required for translation purposes to confirm the validity of the driver’s license for the safety of our renters and for Hertz. Note: A current valid foreign driving license must always be presented at the rental counter.

Travel Documents/Proof of Citizenship
It is your responsibility to be in possession of a valid machine readable passport and/or visa if required.

Descriptions

We cannot accept liability for loss of an advertised facility or withdrawal of free or discounted offers. Such offers are add value and are non-refundable if not provided or used. European Voyages does not own, control, operate, nor is it an agent for any suppliers furnishing tour component parts, and therefore in the absence of its negligence, European Voyages cannot be held liable for loss or damage to property or injury to person, caused by reason of any act or omission, intentional negligence or otherwise by such third party supplier. European Voyages makes no implied or expressed warranties in the offering of any tour described on this website. European Voyages reserves the right to cancel or alter any itinerary at its sole discretion. The information and rates are accurate at the time of posting and are subject to change without notice.

By making final payment for any of the vacations, customer acknowledges and agrees to all of the terms and conditions, in particular, to the limitations of liability set forth above.

Misadventure
Should you or any member of your party suffer illness, personal injury or death through any misadventure arising out of an activity which does not form part of your holiday arrangements, we shall offer assistance such as we are able. Such assistance shall take the form of guidance and advice only without accepting any liability whatsoever.

Hotel Accommodation
European Voyages reserves the right to substitute alternative hotels to those featured, provided they are of comparable category or better. All properties are contracted on a ‘Run of House’ basis, which means you have a standard room from any part of the property unless otherwise advertised. Special accommodation requests, such as adjoining rooms, or twin beds are subject to the hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed. We cannot accept any booking that is conditional upon special requests being met.
