The great impression of Holland starts from the tour to Rotterdam – the second largest city of the Netherlands that has one of the largest ports in the world. During WWII the town was completely destroyed and rebuilt as a modern city with impressive architecture.

The National Maritime Museum is located in an old Arsenal (1656), the storehouse of the Royal Dutch Navy.
Our Open Courtyard is covered by an amazing glass roof repeating one of the old nautical maps and consists of 1200 pieces of glass.
Some of our exhibitions are specially designed for (young) children.
The recommended duration of visit is 60 minutes.
The museum and East Indian Amsterdam is complete wheelchair accessible.

Get inspired by traditional Dutch culture during the visit to the countryside. Visit fishing villages Volendam and Marken and take a tour through the world famous Zaanse Schans.

Zaanse Schans Take a fascinating tour through the Zaanse Schans also known as the Dutch world famous windmills museum. Apart from a fine collection of different windmills, you will have a chance to dive into traditional Dutch atmosphere surrounded by old-fashioned houses, shops and warehouses. And of course we can’t but visit the traditional cheese farm, where you will reveal the secret of how the world-famous Dutch cheese is made.

Volendam and Marken Afterwards you are welcome to take a tour through the small charming fishing villages of Marken and Volendam. On the former island of Marken, you will have the opportunity to visit the local shoe maker and discover how the Dutch make those famous wooden shoes also known as Klompen. The Water Colors Cruise will take you on an evening cruise with spectacular views of the enchantingly lit up city during the Amsterdam Light Festival. You will be sailing through the city which has been put in the spotlights by 20 works of light during the festival period (27-11-14 through to 18-01-15). On board you will be able to listen to information about the works of art, whilst enjoying one masterpiece after another.
