Description

Description

Start your holiday with a few days of complete relaxation at the stunning boutique hotel Capo La Gala, set right on the azure waters of the Bay of Naples. Get stuck into a good book, enjoy the incredible sea views and soak up the sun during the day before you sample the mouthwatering range of cocktails while the sun sets over the sea. Make the most of the hotel’s sea front location and dip in the ocean; treat yourselves to some pampering at the spa and indulge in the sensational food and wine at the hotel’s Michelin star Maxi Restaurant.

If you feel like a bit of activity, head into Sorrento late afternoon and wander up and down the charming cobbled streets exploring the boutique shops and gelaterias. On your way back, stop off for some of the world’s best pizza in Vico Equense!

A short drive along the coast takes you to the town of Massa Lubrense where you will find Relais Blu at the tip of the peninsula. This is the perfect place from which to embark on a day’s boat trip to the island of Capri. You’ll be collected in the morning and driven to your private boat and to meet your captain. Spend the morning wandering the island and visiting the Monastery of San Jacob and the Gardens of Agosto before enjoying an incredible lunch at il Riccio. Hop back in the boat and relax for the afternoon while you are taken to see some stunning grottos and discover unspoilt coves around the island.

The last stop is Casa Angelina, set high on the cliffs in Praiano, the other side of the peninsula on the Amalfi Coast and the perfect place to base yourselves. While you’re not soaking up the Italian sun at the hotel’s beach club, explore the beautiful towns along the coast: Positano and its invitingly colourful houses and winding cobbled streets beautifully scented from the numerous lemon gardens; Ravello’s boutiques and delightful cafes and Amalfi’s shopping and buzzing atmosphere. Roll up your sleeves for a cooking class with Mama Agata, set off on a long coastal stroll along the Path of the Gods and enjoy the breathtaking sea views, or just sit and relax and watch the world go by while sipping a glass of limoncello

When to travel
The best time to visit is in spring (April to early June) or autumn (September and October). In summer the climate is hot and the coast is busy. The beaches, restaurants and tourist attractions are full to the brim in the summer months.
